Workshop: Sharing stories

Home  /  Past events  /  Current Page

The first in our annual workshop series about telling stories with children, run in collaboration with the Friends of Milton Road Library.

Twice a month, local children and their families enjoy stories together at Milton Road Library, run by storyteller Marion Leeper and a team of volunteers. The Friends would like to extend the group of storytellers who run and support these sessions over the next year and beyond and are offering a free training course, led by Marion, to find out more about telling and reading stories, and learn some of the tricks of the trade. The sessions will be fun, hands-on, unpressured, and open to all.

The course is free and places are limited. We ask for a donation of £6 which covers snacks for the workshops and free membership of Friends of Milton Road Library. You just need to commit to coming to all 5 sessions and then helping out with two more sessions over the coming year.

Sessions:
Saturdays 8 October and 12 November, 9.30-10.30am
Thursdays October 13, 20 and 3 November, 7.30-9.30 pm

To book a place, contact Marion 01223 510756, or Cambridge Storytellers, storytellingcambridge@gmail.com.
