The East Anglian Storytelling Festival is back, bigger and better, thanks to a grant from the Arts Council, to help us realize our vision vision of celebrating storytelling as a vibrant, entertaining 21st century art from relevant to all.

The Festival will take place from 22nd to 24th July in Blaxhall, Suffolk. As last year, the festival will include professional development sessions, family story sessions and story rounds – all free to attend – at The Blaxhall Ship Inn, as well as evening ticketed events at the Village Hall. There will be schools’ workshops prior to the festival, where children from four different counties will work with Fabulation members to create a brand new myth or legend about their area, to be told at the festival.

We welcome back Taffy Thomas MBE, who enjoyed last year’s festival so much he agreed to become our patron! Also on the bill will beShonaleigh Cumbers, who will tell, over the three days, the Opal Forest – the next instalment of her cycle of Drut’syla stories. We are finalizing the rest of the line up at the moment – watch this space to find out about the many wonderful tellers taking part. The Festival is organized by a group of local storytellers, The East Anglian Fabulation, led by festival co-ordinator Justine de Mierre.

Camping available on site, as well as accommodation at YHA Blaxhall. Tickets can be purchased online now from We Got Tickets.
